PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
BY
Candy Childrey and Michael Rosenbaum

Candy Childrey, a native of Carrollton, Georgia, has lived in Coral Springs for the past thirty-two years. As a photographer, her favorite subjects are nature, especially birds, and old broken down vehicles.
Her deep love of photography is evident when viewing her exhibits throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. She presently has a Florida/ecology exhibit in Governor Charlie Crist’s office in Ft. Lauderdale. Her exhibits of images from the West, including Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, hung from November through the end of February at the Hollywood City Hall.
She currently serves as the First Vice President of the Coral Springs Camera Club, the exhibit Chair of the Everglades Chapter of The Photographic Society of America and Exhibition Advisor to the Coral Springs Artist Guild.
As her work developed, so did her deep concern for the protection of our nation’s wildlife. Nature photographers must respect wildlife and be a part of the natural environment rather than an intruder

Michael Rosenbaum, was born in Chicago but spent most of his adult life in New York City. He moved to Delray Beach in 1991.
After moving to Florida, he developed an interest in bird watching and became involved in several environmental protection groups. In 2006 this lead him to purchase his first SLR camera. While photographing, Michael found himself drawn to documenting bird behavior and to portraying wildlife in an interesting , as well as aesthetic, manner. Through his art, Michael hopes to achieve another goal: to have his work inspire others to join him in restoring and preserving the ecological systems that have come perilously close to being destroyed.
Michael has won numerous awards, including Best of Show, Gold Medals in both North America and Europe, and honors in Asia and South America. He teaches advanced bird photography at Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.
